The Bahrain International Air Show (BIAS) demonstrates world’s greatest, fastest and advanced aircraft performing stunts and manoeuvrability that is one of a kind. Building on the success of the 2010 event, the Air Show will once again capture the masses with its diverse displays, apart from on ground family entertainment, arts & crafts and attractions. The BIAS will return to the Kingdom between 19th and 21st January 2012 at Sakhir Airbase, adjacent to Bahrain International Grand Prix Circuit in Bahrain. Gulf Air is the official carrier for BIAS 2012.

The dedicated public showground will also organize several attractions and activities to keep the public entertained. The children’s rides will run alongside the flying display offering fun, trampolines and the Adhari Park fun fair.

During BIAS 2010, the Heritage Village was one of the main features of the show, as it was created for public visitors and highlights the rich culture of Bahrain drawn on models of inspired architecture of local art and craft techniques. In 2012, the Heritage Village will also offer special feature zones and aims to offer visitors the enjoyment of entertaining performances and an activity area for children.

There is plenty of tiered seating at the seating arena, which is perfect for watching the flying displays. The flying at BIAS will keep visitors mesmerized with a range of displays of aircrafts from civil to military, to historic, to modern aircraft, all indicative of the manner in which aviation industry has developed and used the latest in technology.

During the 2010 show, the Saudi Hawks and Jordanian Falcon aerobatic displays wooed the audience with their wonderful displays. The details of 2012 BIAS are yet to be announced. For details visit http://www.bahraininternationalairshow.com/
