Bahrain to develop international Property Development Association
Diyar Al Muharraq hosted a meeting among leading property development professional in Bahrain to agree upon forming a representative organization, with a vision to be one of the internationally-recognized Property Development Association.
The meeting involved participation of 17 chief executive officers and senior management officials from several major development companies in Bahrain.
Named as the Bahrain Property Development Association (Bapda), the group will strengthen infrastructure services, fair trade practices, co-operation and integrity among its members and will serve as a platform for members to liaise with government authorities to be form best practice policies pertaining to the industry.
The ‘Bapda’ will be the first-of-its-kind in the Kingom and will work towards forming amicable business ties among its members with particular focus on several pertinent issues such as green building construction concepts, eco-friendly construction practices, quality and productivity optimization, said Aaref Hejres, Chief Executive Officer at Diyar.
On approval from the Ministry of Social Development and commencement of operations, it will surely be a turning point for development industry in the Kingdom, Hejres said.
The Association will act towards establishing a research center which would serve as a common platform for compiling, managing and efficiently exchanging relevant research data, apart from other such industry statistics. The members also aim to promote activities such as educational development and professional development.
