BD3mn offer for revamp of Bahrain beach
A top businessman in Bahrain has offered to invest at least BD3mn for giving a facelift to a beach in the Kingdom.
The businessman, Abduall Al Kubaisi, had offered to develop the Al Jazayer beach as a free beauty spot for the public, but his application was turned down.
His suggestion was to demolish the old chalets, rebuilt in increased numbers on the beachfront, while others be extended to the sea. According to Al Kubaisi, it should be limited to only few people (say 80 to 85 nationals) with long contracts, but rented on daily bais.
Al Kubaisi has also submitted plan to Muharraq Municipal Council to clean up Asry Dry Dock beach.
