New Smart Carpark Complex launched

The real estate arm of Bahrain government, Edamah, has opened the BD7.6million state-of-the-art carpark complex, namely The Terminal.

The opening ceremony was attended by key stakeholders, including Edamah’s Board of Directors, Contractors, investors and potential tenants.

Located in the vibrant fine-dining Block 338 Adliya, The Terminal is well-designed to provide a full-service solution to visitors to busiest part of Adliya, bringing together commercial outlets, dining and smart parking under a single roof.

The first two tenants of ‘The Terminal’ are Maya Gold, a new elevated concept of ‘Maya La Chocolaterie’. Maya, which has grown into an artisan chocolate brand, operates out its home base in Bahrain. The other tenant is ‘Dose’, an artisanal organic coffee shop. Dose owns and operates several quick-service cafes in Kuwait, and across GCC.

Further, The Terminal provides visitors access to more than 330 carparks and 10 outlets on a land area of 4,801 square metres. Over the next five years, Edamah aims to develop over 1000 car park spaces, all of which would be managed with centralised smart software to reduce operational costs, improve efficiency and customer satisfaction.

With the help of auto pay machines, visitors to the terminal can pay the carpark fee using debit or credit card, cash and mobile app. Edamah has a three-year project pipeline that is worth about BD14million, featuring developments like Sa’ada Waterfront development, a multi-storey carpark, namely ‘Salmaniya Carpark’ amongst others.

During the year 2017, the real estate sector in the Kingdom grew by 7.6 percent due to high demand for residential, retail and tourism development sin the kingdom.
