Bahrain International Air Show 2018 likely to draw maximum participation


This year marks the 5th edition of the popular Bahrain International Air Show (BIAS 2018), with the previous editions of the show having drawn the highest ever participating companies from the GCC, particularly the UAE and Saudi Arabia.

The event, held under the patronage of Bahrainís King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, is organized under the supervision of Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the personal representative and chairman of organizing committee of BIAS.

The biennial event to be held from 14th to 16th November, is based on the long-established ties between the countries, and will provide the aviation companies from the region, an opportunity to meet potential clients and suppliers participating in the show from the global aviation industry.

The participation of Saudi Arabia at the BIAS 2018 follows that of the UAE, with the presence of six major Saudi entities specialized in aviation, engineering and military manufacturing, which includes General Authority for Civil Aviation, Saudi Arabia Military Industries, Saudi Arabian Airlines, Adams Advanced Aero Technology, Sky Prime Aviation Services and Saudi Aramco.

The UAE would be represented by total of 14 entities comprising local government bodies, specialized companies in aviation and engineering of military industrial machinery and equipment.

Kuwait would also be participating with Kuwait Airways in the static display and exhibition hall.

The Transportation Minister and Deputy Chairman of Supreme Organizing Committee BIAS, Kamal bin Ahmed Mohammed, the show serves as a platform for top executives from public and private sectors in the region to meet and interact with leaders in global aviation sector under a single roof.
