Jewellery Arabia 2018 opens to a glittering start in Bahrain


Held under the patronage of HRH Prince Khalifa The Jewellery Arabia is the largest and most prestigious jewellery exhibition in the Middle East, showcasing leading names and unique designers from across the globe.

Ranging from incredible finished jewellery, to luxurious time pieces and precious stones of all sizes, shapes and cuts, the exhibition is open to all and free-of-charge for public to attend.  The expo attracts over 600 exhibitors from over 30 countries, with world-famous jewellery houses, watch manufacturers and high-profile designers gathering to introduce their new collections, limited edition pieces to the Middle East market.

According to HRH Prime Minister, Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, the success of Bahrain in maintaining openness and economic diversification plans of the Kingdom have helped contribute towards development of national economy, creating an ideal environment for investments, making Kingdom the ideal destination for hosting exhibitions and conferences at regional and international levels.

The success of Jewellery Arabia reflects the development made by the exhibition and conference industry in the Kingdom, given the advantages and components of national economy and the leading position of the Kingdom in this field, he mentioned, as he opened the exhibition.

He took the opportunity to appreciate the efforts by Bahraini designers and innovators, working to integrate the original Bahraini heritage into gold and jewellery industry, and to present them in creative works with a global reputation.  He also expressed appreciation to the exhibition organizers, participants and appreciated their efforts in organizing it, emphasizing that it is characterized by innovation, creativity and eagerness to highlight the advanced capabilities of Bahrain in the industry of exhibitions and conferences.

The Industry, Commerce and Tourism Minister, Zayed bin Rashed Al Zayani mentioned that the expo has placed Bahrain on the international agenda for specialized exhibitions. Such generous auspices reflect the interest of His Majesty the King and the government in attracting specialized exhibitions and harnessing all potentials and capabilities available to develop tourism and improve their contribution towards Bahrainís GDP.

The exhibition industry in Bahrain is in-line with the strategic objectives and economic visions of the distinguished leadership and government aiming at strengthening the position of the Kingdom as a country that embraces investments and international projects at all levels.

The show, which opened doors at the Bahrain Exhibition Centre on 20th November 2018 will conclude on 24th November 2018, and is open 4pm to 10pm on all four days.
